There are a large number of used golf putters out there that have been cast off by their previous owners. The only real qualification a putter needs to have is that it is well balanced and solidly made.

The problem with many of the high profile putters like the ones used by the pros is that they are quite expensive. But you are free to practice with them at the golf shop to see if they work for you.

Once you've settled on a putter that you like, you can then go online and search for used golf putters to see if you can find the ones that you like. You should be able to save over half if not more of the cost of a brand-new one. In any case, it's good to have the advantage of shopping for used golf putters online.

Maybe you need to buy a bunch of putters for a group. In that case used golf putters are a great solution. It's nice to have a wide selection of putters readily available so you can try different styles and brands on a real putting green. Many times a certain putter will work for a while and then go cold. This happens a lot, and if you have a nice supply of used golf putters, you can quickly try one of the others until you find your groove with one of them.

I personally own a bunch of putters, and I switch around as I feel necessary. I even have a small lady's putter that works for me really well. It's nice and light and I can get closer down to the ball with my head. I bought it used and it only cost me five dollars.
